Bridging the Energy Gap

Life for Life Solutions aims to revolutionize access to renewable solar energy in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly targeting low-income households and small businesses. By sourcing high-quality used solar panels from Europe and other developed countries, we will refurbish and sell them at competitive prices, creating a sustainable energy solution while contributing to the circular economy through recycling initiatives in sub Saharan Africa

It is estimated that by 20230 550 million people shall lack access to electricity in sub-Saharan Africa. Majority of these shall be residing in the rural areas. Countries with significant Energy deficit include Nigeria, Congo and Ethiopia. Except this challenge is addressed pragmatically, unemployment, poverty, insecurity, political instability and brain drain as a result of more migration to the global North shall be anticipated by implication. On the other hand, PV Waste Surge in Europe alone is expected to generate ~1.5 million metric tons of PV waste annually (≈75 million panels) starting 2030.

Our innovative approach involves sourcing high-quality, refurbished solar panels from Europe and other developed countries, e.g Germany, which are still viable for use. This would enable us to provide immediate, affordable solar power to underserved regions and at the same time divert millions of panels from landfills or delay their recycling until they attain their end of life. At the same time we are working towards establishing solar panel recycling plants at some locations in sub Saharan Africa to eventually carter for these end-of-life panels.
